Description
Glutathione is the most powerful and important antioxidant in the human body. It is therefore also called the mother of antioxidants.
Glutathione consists of the reduced form (GSH), the oxidized form (GSSG) and as S-Acetyl-L-Glutathione (SAG). The reduced form is also referred to as L-glutathione. Only in the reduced form of glutathione do the unique protective properties of glutathione come into its own. Unfortunately, the reduced form is poorly absorbed by the body because the body first breaks it down into individual amino acids, then rebuilds it into GSH. Only a small part of the ingested glutathione is actually built up again. As a result, little glutathione remains. During illness, this conversion is even worse, while the body’s demand for glutathione is even higher.
Somavita® Liposomal Glutathione is the answer. It contains the reduced form (L-glutathione) encapsulated by the phospholipid structure of the liposomes. Due to these special liposomes, the glutathione will be able to pass through the gastrointestinal tract and the cell membrane undamaged so that it can be directly absorbed into the cells. Thanks to this liposomal technology, a phenomenally high bioavailability of the glutathione can be achieved.
